Welcome to Zoning in on Physics! This application has been designed to help you in your presentation of Newton's Laws. Each zone has characteristics that will help students envision those aspects of the Laws that are occasionally difficult to grasp conceptually. The different zones provide experiences that demonstrate the inter-relations between variable forces and masses so that each of Newton's Laws may be showcased individually. Or you may decide to use the zones as an experiment arena for discovery learning. Hopefully they will help you provide your students enjoyment that is also educational.

Zoning in on Physics Supplemental Materials

These handouts can be used as guides for each student team. There is an introduction to Zoning in on Physics that includes information on the tool bar buttons and a "job description " for each member of the team. Each zone has its own handout and set of instructions for different experiments within that zone. The handouts are designed to be free-standing so that it is not necessary to go through each zone sequentially.
